Ep1 DVD Release / Make-A-Wish (aka MookieCon 2001)
October 12 - 16, 2001 : Rochester, New York, USA

Some of the 501st Canadian Garrison joined up with a few of our fellow troopers and members of the Rebel Legion to do some fund-raising in Rochester for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Some troopers also stayed till October 16th to help out with the Star Wars: Episode 1 DVD release.

The first fund raising effort was at FYE where we posed for pictures with the fans (for a small donation), as well as attracting customers for the DVD pre-orders. After that, we were off to Don Pablos for an evening of fund-raising, and some good Mexican food!

"Mookie" from the Rebel Legion organized the festivities. Members of the 501st in attendance were: TK878, TR1125 & Tara, Darth Robin & Karina, TD501, Dallas (TK-###), and Steven (TK-###). Other members of the Rebel Legion -- DarthGoat (as a Jedi) and Brandi (as Queen Amidala) -- brought balance to the Force.

Many thanks go out to FYE and Don Pablos for donating the film and facilities, helping us to raise more than US$400.
