June 31 - July 3, 2000 : Atlanta, Georgia, USA

DragonCon, one of the biggest entertainment conventions in the world, also happens to be *THE* annual 501st Legion event. Every year, more and more troopers from all over the U.S. and various parts of the world converge on Altanta in order to mingle and of course, to spread Imperial mayhem on the general public.

This year's convention was no exception. The number of troopers at the con kept growing until it reached about fifty on Saturday. Out of this fifty you would find stormtroopers, sandtroopers, a snowtrooper, biker scouts, TIE fighter pilots, Imperial officers and royal guards. I'm not counting the bounty hunters, and various Sith lords. Among these Imperials, there were 3 Canadians and 5 members of the Canadian Garrison (yes, the Canadian Garrison does adopt).

501st members and their Star Wars brethren were involved in escort duties, raiding activities (Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Café, and the convention's Masquerade Ball), interviews (television, radio and web broadcasts), and confused quite a few Salvation Army members who also happened to have their world convention in Atlanta at the same time (a group of troopers lined up the sidewalk during the Salvation Army parade).

There are only a few photographs of the convention on this site as I sadly did not take many -- cameras and armour just do not mix. However, you will find photographs below of a little shopping spree featuring TR1125, TXP0911, TB741 and a Jedi.
